This seminar focuses on the bereavement experience of family members after a child's death. Relevant bereavement theory will be reviewed, including new and emerging insights into the bereavement experience of family members not previously well understood by health care professionals. Discussion will be grounded through the playing of several songs written and performed by a professional singer-songwriter who is herself a bereaved parent, and discussing the narrative of a bereaved sibling.   • Understand the role of spirituality and continuing bonds with the deceased child for bereaved parents.
